Taplast™ receives ISCC PLUS Certification, enhancing its commitment to sustainability
TriMas Packaging’s Taplast facility, located in Povolaro, Italy, has received International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) PLUS accreditation, enabling the traceability of chemically recycled mixed plastics in the production of its dispensing systems and closures for beauty & personal care, home care and food applications.
“I am very proud of our dedicated teams in achieving ISCC Plus certification,” stated Fabio Salik, President, TriMas Packaging. “This certification is a major milestone in our overall sustainability strategy as we strive to continue implementing sustainable processes at our facilities and delivering products made from certified circular plastic to our customers.”
ISCC is a global leading certification system for tracking chemically recycled and bio-based materials through the supply chain. The ISCC PLUS certified Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) designation takes a ‘mass balance approach’ to trace the flow of resins that are utilized in production, making it possible to validate the level of recycled content in the final product. Achieving ISCC Plus certification recognizes TriMas Packaging’s commitment to reaching its product sustainability goals and helping its customers achieve a lower carbon future.
TriMas Packaging plans to earn ISCC PLUS certification for additional facilities across its global locations in the near future.
